In the 1980s, Edward Dwurnik designed – or more precisely drew – almost all the posters promoting his individual exhibitions in city and state art galleries. The expressive style of these posters and their polygraphic plainness reflect the specific climate of the crisis decade of martial law, mass strikes, and the beginning of the Polish transition. These little-known original works by Dwurnik are a valuable document of the artistic life of the 1980s.
