Digital catalogue of Edward Dwurnik’s artworks

We are delighted to announce that the online platform of Edward Dwurnik’s Artworks Catalogue is now online. You will find on it over 1,000 works on paper, which are a cross-section of over 50 years of the artist’s activity. Most of the drawings, collages and graphics made in various techniques have never been presented to the public outside of Edward Dwurnik’s studio.

On the platform you will see both individual works and drawing series, created in the years 1964-2018. They are not only a diary of Dwurnik’s life, but also a document of the Polish history.

We have been working on the catalogue since April 2022. Thanks to the funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, obtained under the Digital Culture 2022 program, we were able to provide our studio with the necessary equipment and work on photographing, describing, developing and entering the digitized objects into the database.

The implementation of the catalogue was supported by the Tatra Museum in Zakopane and the Mazovian Center for Contemporary Art “Elektrownia” in Radom, which made their collections available, Mr. Artur Dela, patron of the project, thanks to whom it became possible to create a digital system for sharing artworks. The partners of the project are Raster Gallery and Fujifilm Poland Sp. z o. o.

The Foundation has access to approximately 8,600 works on paper by Edward Dwurnik. We plan to consistently carry out securing, preserving, digitizing and presenting these artworks in the coming years.
